Lethargic and Sickly panther chameleon - Temp?

Sorry for your loss. If you get another this forum has many threads on how to handle the husbandry. Take care.

thanks

for the kind words. I have learned alot already. The picture of your chameleon is like a fat, healthy version of The Dude. That's what he should have looked like.

I just wonder if I had known what to do, if two weeks with us would have made him better or if he was just well on his way.

I don't think anyone can tell you. I'd like to ease your mind by saying "no, he was on his way" but can't. Depending on how long his crummy first keepers mistreated him he might have been suffering from major organ failure and you couldn't correct all of that. If he had only been declining for a couple of weeks before you got him you might have been able to turn him around. Yes, you learned a lot, but if/when you start out with a healthy young one your learning curve will be much shorter!
