I introduced Leon and Brody. She was none to happy about me holding her and was fine with Leon, but they did not end up mating. I beleive I will put them together tomorrow for a few days.

Sure-I will get some pictures tomorrow. With Leon there really is no courtship. He has only been bred twice-the first time producing the clutch with Lombardi in it, and the second time resulting in nothing. This will be his third. Leon goes right for the deed. I have never witnessed head bobbing or anything of the sort in Veileds. He either fires up in his bright colors or turns dark turquoise. Here is the thread of his "first time"! He was a bit clueless!

Its funny you mention it, but in many lizards Ive noticed that the older the male gets, the less like courtship there is and the more like rape it becomes! Often with dominance displays reserved for other males.
The color changing in him is of interest though, did she respond likewise before he approached?

She was fine with him. He did climb on top, but then just stood there not attempting to go further. He was young when he went at it the first time. He will sometimes go bright when he sees a woman, and sometimes go dark.

Thanks Jo! I think Leon does some good work! I hope his next clutch is a beautiful as his first. I am also gearing up to breed 2 of his son's. I have a beautiful female CH Veiled from Pardalisgirl, and a gorgeous female from Gesang's!
