Lenny won't poop.

I know this thread is old, but is it normal for Chams metabolism to be this slow?
Slow enough to only excrete once a week?

The reason i am asking is my cham is doing the exact same. And I have been feeding her way too much (i only found out today you can overfeed them) 10 crickets and about 6 super worms every day. And nothing.

I am going to try the warm water tonight and see if that helps my cause.

Thanks - Any assistance is always appreciated

We feed our adults, beginning at just under a year old, every other day. It actually helps them to poop more frequently if their bodies are not digesting food every single day. We started this a couple of years ago and found that it helps keep them more regular, and they don't need all that food everyday at that age anyway. With the exception of breeding females. At certain times of their cycle they get fed every day.

Hi there,

But is it really normal only to pee once a week as well?
Luckily when i got home from work she had her movement (i think she knew what was about to happen )
But most of it was orange, so i know this is not a good sign, how can i get her to do this more often?

Do i just put her in the warm water every other day until it is back to normal?
I'll start feeding her the super worms every second day from now on.

Thanks

It isn't that odd that a cham will poop once a week. As they get older they shouldn't be fed as often. if they aren't fed as often they don't poop as often. I think my older Melleri are n a once maybe twice a week poop and I think the urates are more often... not sure.
