Your Chameleon - Panther, have had him for 1 year and he was probably 2-3 months when I bought him
Handling - Currently every 4 days when I have to give him an injection, before this only handled him a few times a month when he would crawl onto me.
Feeding - Mostly dubia roaches gut loaded with fruits and veggies and sometimes roach chow that came with them . Occasionally nutrigrubs, meal worms and wax worms
Supplements - Repashy calcium plus every feeding
Watering - Hand mist 5 mins first thing in the morning then have misters 1 min every 2 hours until 4 PM (lights 6AM - 6PM)
Fecal Description - Once a week, seem normal. Dark and then off white (not bright) urates
History - Everything has seemed normal up until the past month. No past illnesses
Cage Info:
Cage Type - Repti Breeze type 24 wide x 18 deep x 36 tall
Lighting - Repti sun 5.0 (this was recently updated from a 13 W coil UVB bulb) and a 100 watt Zoo Med basking bulb

Current Problem -
A few weeks ago I noticed my chameleon having issues with his back legs. He would try to grab his front
legs with his back legs when he was turning around which resulted in him falling. I took him to the vet
and had xrays and bloodwork done. The vet said the xrays looked pretty good there were no fractures or breaks and he had a really strong grip. Only thing was that his fingers looked a little lighter so they gave me calcium glubionate to give 0.1 per day for at least 90 days. When I got the bloodwork back, his white blood cell count was very high (24,000) and he was showing a high uric acid level of 10 so I was also prescribed 0.1 ml Probenecid and 0.1 ml of Allopurinol per day along with 0.02 cc injection of Fortaz every 4 days. It's been about 3 weeks and I have noticed an improvement but he sill has trouble finding his branches with his back legs (he is no longer falling from what I have seen). I am not sure if these are signs of gout, MBD, both? Also, I recently noticed a few days ago that he has a red sore (or cut maybe, I'm not sure) on the bottom of his foot. I've been very hesitant to bother him more than I have to because giving him the shot is so stressful. Anyway, the vet wasn't very specific with what else I should be doing besides give him the medicine so I was hoping to get some recommendations. I'm not sure how I should be dusting. Before all this happened, I was dusting every feeding with Repahsy Calcium Plus and now with his uric acid level being high I don't think I should be dusting at every feeding, more maybe 1 or twice a week? In 2 weeks I will be taking him back for follow up with bloodwork so hopefully I will have more information then. Thanks!
