Laying Issue

With my female it helped to leave her abandoned in her laying bin with no way out. I use a kitchen trash can, so it's too tall for her to climb out of. She wouldn't use it on her own so I left her in it and after 20 mins of scratching to get out she got right to work on the hole and layed the next morning. You might have to try something like that with yours.

How do you know she laid 3 eggs?? She should be down a hole while laying the eggs where you can't see her and you shouldn't be disturbing her.

She dug a little bit more, I dug a hole put her in it and she dug a little and started laying where I can see her. She has only had 4 eggs over a 8-10 he period.

Maybe its taking her so long because you keep looking at her?
Your not supposed to watch her the whole time, if she sees you watching her she will slow the whole process down and maybe even completly stop and become eggbound.

Hopefuly she lays all the eggs
Good luck

Thing is I don't want to drive two hours, no offense. Nature weeds out the weakest. I mean like what if I get this surgery and the Cham dies I loose $300+!

dude, no offense but that is a pretty lame thing to say. like kinyonga said, its true that nature weeds out the weakest, but what we take in and buy for our collection is in most cases already in good health. its our responsibilty to be their "nature" from that point on, and if you dont want to pay for costs of things, why did you get one in the first place? yes 300$ is a lot to gamble on, but saving the 300$ for something else will cost you the conciences of knowing you basically killed your pet. sorry to say it. please come up with the money and find a vet. a couple hours away isnt honestly too bad. some people on the forums drive 4 or more! in the meantime. mix up washed playsand with the eco earth and give her a nice long hydration shower. like everyone else said, let her be and dont spy on her. and in regards to the vet, you will need an xray to see the egg situation, you may not even need a surgery but an oxytocin shot or 3 may do the trick

best of luck, but please understand what your committing to next time you want something.

edit: i didnt read anything past what i quote from you, but if you're sure she laid 3-4 eggs that thats great, its not too late. keep us posted
