Laying eggs

Ok so I found 2eggs in jaspers cage today so about 2pm I put a laying pot in her cage. Tonight at 11pm I come home and see she is working on digging a hole. It collapsed on her im scarred she is going to get hurt I don't know if it's wet enough or if I need sand I thought it was good when I put it in but now I'm worried. Please help

Did you dig her out? She will suffocate if you didn’t. I always dig a hole with a spoon all the way to the bottom to test and make sure the tunnel want collapse.

Always use sand with the same moisture as a sand castle.
