Laying eggs in branches

My female boehmei is laying eggs in the leaves but not in the laying bin I have set up. What do I do? She's lay 2 one at 6 and one at 10.

I would get a trash can or large bucket, fill it with washed play sand or sand/soil mix and put her in it with a light over it.. Only check on her every few hours.

If she don't lay by morning she will need help forsure she actually might already its hard to say. But I would get her in if she were my cham first thing tomorrow you are going to have to use your better judgment as you can see wer behavior and condition but from what you have said she don't have long so those eggs gotta go one way or the other.

This ^^^… Id call and make a appointment now for tomorrow if she does not lay. No matter what happens, be prepared for egg removal. Member Ataraxia has a great blog on it. If you are not comfortable with it, id be more than willing to do it as Im not to far from you...

In the mean time, a long shower probably wouldnt hurt.

Unfertile Eggs

Hello,

I have a female veiled chameleon who is almost a year old. I woke up this morning and found two eggs at the bottom of her enclosure. I have been told that they usually lay clutches of eggs. I am worried because I don't want her to become egg bound. I do have a tub for her to lay her eggs in but she never went to the bottom of her enclosure, she was perfectly fine. She was eating fine and she is always hydrated. Can someone please advice me on this asap??

Anything???

I would advise you start a new thread in the health clinic.. Sounds like a vet visit is in order as well.

Did you get the sand/soil mix? I use plain topsoil. Its super cheap and no fertilizers or additives in it. Just plain ole dirt. The "trash can" method is best when they arent going in the cage.

Did you collect the eggs? Do you have them incubating?

Dont hesitate to PM me on something like this. I tend to just skip a lot of threads if the titles dont pop out at me:eek:

Hope things are going well.
