Laying bin

Should I have something connecting the laying bin to the cage, and if not how long do I leave her in there and how does she get water?

Do you have the laying bin in the cage? Does your chameleon free range? I would put a vine or branch to get in and out of the laying bin. Camille has never had water until after she finishes in the laying bin. Below is a link to my egg laying/laying bin blog. You might find it helpful.

I think it would help if you say what kind of cage do you have. I use 5gal homedepot paint buckets, you can buy those empty and clean like for $5ca. Fill it with a mix of dirt (I use organic potting soil) and playground sand (I use 70-30% ratio) and leave the bucket maybe 4inches empty. Let us know a biut more detail so we can suggest some ideas.
