Large white/hard growths on Panther male

Hi all, I'm posting this question for my Aunt who has a 1 year old male Panther. He has developed four hard white growths. One to his head, one his back leg and two on his body. One of the ones on his body is now the size of a large pea/bean. They are all hard, white and dry, and she tells me that you can pinch bits of the lumps off tho Bob(the Panther) does not like this. He acts and eats as he always has done and the lumps(if left alone) dont seem to bother him. My Aunt has sent me one picture that is not great quality but i will post it anyway.
Please let me know if you have any idea what this could be.
Many thanks in advance
Samuel

Looks like a skin infection. But with the quality of the pic Im not certain. He needs antibiotics and topical cream if Im correct. Vet visit is def in order.

bumps

Many posts ago, I said my first Veiled died from a large abcess between his nose and casque/eyes. When I brought him to the vet, he scrapped it off with his thumbnail. The whole thing fell out leaving his whole sinus cavity open...he died 2 days later in my hands.......The point being, the white bump on his side looks EXACTLY like the bump mine had. Get it to a Vet that knows what he/she's doing.... JMO

Could be an infection, a tumour, a virus, a fungus, a build up of dead skin that is suffocating the tissue, a parasite under the skin even. Its probably not the sort of thing forum members can diagnose seeing one poor-quality photo.
Is the chameleon getting enough to drink? Is the humidity high enough?
Has a vet been consulted? Was a biopsy done?

He looks unwell, I think we're all going to recommend that he go to a reptile vet as soon as possible. Beyond the growths, he looks as if he has other issues going on as well perhaps, so I would just get him to a medical professional first thing on Monday.

I totally agree with Sandra and Olimpia. Go for a vet, your chameleon is very sick and we can't diagnose anything!!

All that can be done here is speculate, he needs a vet :(

I completely agree with Olympia, he does not look well to me either.

Thankyou

Hi and thanks for the advice and support for Bob.
My Aunt has contacted every vet in her area and none deal with reptiles but through email and photo's she has been told that the growths are almost certainly absesses caused by locust bites!!??
I am hoping to take Bob on and give him a new home. I know a good vet near me. My Aunt lives about 100 miles from me but I hope I can collect him this weekend.
I have got some more pics so I will post them. Please feel free to take a look and see if anything more becomes apparent. Oh by the way he has some loose skin remaining from very recent shed.
Thanks and Kind Regards
Samuel

I haven't seen abscesses that build up crusty material like that before. Hard masses seem more like some sort of growth. A vet can at least take some samples for analysis or even try removing them. Until you have some idea what the organism is, treating with anything may be useless. I also see some missing dorsal spines that might have been caused by a thermal burn. He seems ill in other ways too (eyes are not fully open, sort of crouched or collapsed posture), so we would need to know about how he was kept...lighting, supplements, gutloading, UV exposure, humidity. We can help rule out other issues for you.

My Aunt has kinda rescued and adopted him too. She has sent me copies of the emails from the vets and she really has tried to care for him. She has asked me for help as i have a lot of reptile keeping experience but mine is mostly with snakes.

Where abouts are you located? Perhaps a member nearby can give you help. I know that if you lived near me in Florida I'd be more than happy to help out and recommend a vet.

Agreed!

WOW... yes I agree with everyone... No speculation but a Vet is needed ASAP! I saw the pics and they actually turned my stomatch... poor guy. Hope you can get him some help... keep us posted would love to know what the Vet says and see future improvement /progress.

Glad you are getting him to a vet. He will need it. Cross your fingers for the best but prepare for the worst. Good luck.

Other than those growths/bumps he doesn't look like he's in bad condition. I've seen growths like that a couple of times before but the owners never did post what they turned out to be.
