What does ABG stand for? I assume it was explained in a thread that I haven't read yet.

ABG is just the name of a popular soil mixture. It consists of Coco Coir (ecoearth), Sphagnum Moss, tree fern fiber (this is a variable) and charcoal usually.

Lots of people vary it a bit, usually the tree fern fiber is what's varied as that is expensive and non rewenewable.

I don't know that Lowe's sells Sunshine Mix #4, it's not listed on their site, and I think it's a newer fixture to Home Depot. Also the purple bag that home Depot sells is a HD Exclusive, though it's the same as the black bag as far as I can tell.

I got mine from Home Depot, it's cheaper than Amazon I think. Same stuff from what I can tell. The bag is purple and not black, which threw me off, but the tag says "HD Purple Bag" so it's like a HD Exclusive but seems the same.
