Land Snails

I live in Hawaii and have a Jackson chameleon, I was wondering if anyone knew how to breed land snails to start using as a feeder.I have found a few in the bushes in Waikiki out here but they are too big and most likely crawling with bacteria so if anyone knows how to breed them that would be a great help. some of the Hawaiian snails are endangered, so be sure to put the adults back after you have some eggs.
