Well, I finally got around to cleaning my snail terrarium, it was pretty funky.
Noticed, for the first time, several baby snails, and found a nice cluster of eggs.
Removed everything and cleaned and replaced the soil with fresh.
Then I put everything back.
I have been keeping them on the cool side, mid to high 60's F.
What temp do you guyz keep them?
Also, I talked to the owner of snailsinthemail.com about parasites and separating the babies and eggs. I told him I was using them as feeders for chams.
He insists that there is no need to do this because his snails come from a organic snail farm in California, they are captive raised in a clean invironment and given organicly grown foods.
The little snails like to ride around on the backs of the adults, kind of cool to watch them.
They seem to like the fresh soil and are more active then normal.
