kinyongia boehmei feeding problems..

Hello everyone
I just bought (last saturday) a nice pair of cb K.Boehmei here in Sweden on a reptile event, they are around 5-6 months old! I have tried giving them roaches, but they did'nt take it- so I mailed the breeder and he explained that he did'nt have tried roaches yet, just flies and wax moth, so I went to the zoo and bought small stick insects.
... today and yesterday the female have taken two "sticks", but I have not seen the male eating any yet, so I am a bit worried.. he is also pretty active and tries to escape from the cage almost all the time.

So I am wondering if any of you have some suggestions of what to do, how long can he stay out of food and is it impossible to get them to feed only roaches?

Both flies and moths aren't very nutritious. Could you post pictures of them? If thats the only food they were offered Im worried they could be malnourished. Are they CB?
