Hey, so were planning on getting another Cham!! Exciting! I want to be utmost prepared for multiples, and I've been reading that a lot of chams develope mouth rot, should I prepare by getting Reptaid or Mouth Guard?

I have read that increasing the vitamin C content of your feeder gutloads can help prevent the temporal gland infections we see. It could be as simple as adjusting the pH level of the cham's saliva so it inhibits bacterial growth or strengthening the cham's immune system to fight off infection. I have to say, I've kept a lot of chams over the years, always used chunks of orange in my feeder bins and the only time I've had to deal with mouth infections was with one female jax (and they seem to be prone to this). You can't really prevent every little gum nick or cut from a feeder shell or leg spine, but if your cham is healthy and you inspect their gums and lips for any early sign of a sore you have the best chance to catch it.

Great answer! I think ill use the orange trick! Thank you very much!
