I don't think I have ever seen a cham lay down like that. Does he not like his vines?

He will sleep on his vines but he spends most of his time right there just hanging out catching some rays

My veiled used to do that too, then he got to big for the plant to support so now he is more inclined to perch up on his vines and relax.

I've seen them angle like that to get the best light. My guy will track the sun when he's outside, tilting his flattened side to it and, sometimes, slo-o-owly tipping over.
