Keeping Veiled outdoors

Hello everyone,
I purchased a Veiled (my first) two weeks ago. I've raised and kept all manner of reptiles (still do!)for over 30 years. Until recently, I didn't feel I could properly care for and maintain a chameleon but have been researching their needs and the products available and feel the time is right to bring one into my life.
I live in Houston Tx. where we have high temps and high humidity nearly year round. The evening temperatures, except in winter, rarely drop under 70 degrees. On my porch, I set up a small Reptibreeze with some faux vines, for now until I can repot and detox some nice plants. I bought and set up a drip system as well. I have a female about 4 inches long. She seems to enjoy the outdoors. I have a large tile over part of the top to provide shade but I find her mostly in the sun throughout the day. Its been nice outside in the mid 80s during the day and low to mid 70s in the evening. Does anyone here keep their chameleon(s) outdoors year round?

What do you use to maintain heat in a Reptibreeze in the evening? I'm going to bring her indoors tomorrow because of a cold front. I have an infra-red bulb set up in a double dome with a regular basking light but read that many people find their chameleons don't sleep well with that type of light. I have a ceramic heating element, if that would be better. Second, I do not wish to breed my chameleon but have read that regardless of their being a coupling, the females will lay eggs. When do I need to be concerned with that? And what will she need to lay those eggs sucessfully? Thank you in advance for any advice and information.
