keeping clean

hi again,i have a scheffelara plant in the cage.how do people go about keeping the plant clean?i would think that i would take quite a long time to clean every leaf that was "dirty".can you take it out and spray it down in the sink?im kind of a neat freak.

Misting the plant ususally keeps the plant clean. What is dirty on the leaves? Before putting a new plant in I usually will wrap the pot in a plastic bag and rinse it really well in the shower so there is nothing to mess with the cham on the plant.

If there is that much I would take it out of the cage and rinse it in the shower. I usually spot check the cage and clean droppings everyday but my chams have not been going on the leaves very often. Usually on the rocks that cover the dirt for the plant or it ends up on the floor of the cage.

I spot clean poop daily. Including off leaves. The sooner you catch/clean it, the easier (softer) it is to clean up. But yes you could shower the plant (you'll still likely need to do a little wiping of leaves).

Mine stays pretty clean except for the occassional poop, which I just remove and then its good to go!
