Keeping chameleons outside all summer

Wanted to know if anyone else keeps their chameleons outside, I live in New York ,it's warm now, humidity is pretty high, just concerned if the temperature is not dropping it off at night.
Any thoughts?
It's been a few weeks they seem to like it

ThZnks , I just wanted to know if I was the only one, it's so much easier just to clean the cages. And all this talk about being raised in the Florida sun , has given my guys a growth spurt and a lot more color for being juvies

I keep them out but have the temperature sensitive species like the werneri and jacksoni in an area they can only get early to mid morning sun. The mist system I use is supplied with cold water so even if it is 90f the temp runs in the low 80f's near the cages with it running. On the hot days I run it sometimes for a couple of hours every four hours.

On less sensitive species they have partial roofs over their cages to limit sun exposure. They get sun until mid morning and then again late afternoon. The are on the same type misting system with timers set depending on the temperature.

Thank you Carl , I work from home so I just gently hose the cages down and wash away the poop 3 times aday.
I have 2 panthers and a veil. I have partial covers on there cages to limit rain and sun,

I'm mostly concerned if the temps don't drop enough at nite ?

I'm on long island and I keep most of my chameleons outside from May until October . the veileds will come in around the beginning to the middle of October and the quads might make it until the middle of November , depending on the temps .

Any problems with animals ?-and how do you guard against them? I had a bear in my yard this weekend and have seen foxes and such- I brought two of mine with me to my mother's lake house which is 10 min from my house and kept them outside from sun up to sun down while I was on vacation, but I was worried about possums and other animals at night- and bears day time - I had them in the zipper up pvc & screen cages that were easy to move in and out but I want to make them something more secure -

Mine are on the deck , close to the house, I had a stray cat come around, but the cages are strapped to the railings. I wonder if they like it side more than inside with artificial lights . It's so much easier to keep the cages clean
