Keeping a laying bin moist?

Hi all,

based off an earlier thread, I set up my laying bin in case the female is with eggs. The soil is the right consistency and ll looks good. I am curious how many of you may keep the soil in the bin/pot moist assuming it is not used right away.

I am guessing that the overspray and run off from the misters will help some, but do you directly mist it daily or so?

Thanks!

Bobby

In my egg bin I just used clean play sand that I added water to to make it wet enough to dig a tunnel in. When it dried out on the top i just poured more water on it and dug in alittle to make sure it was still moist enough inside.......It has worked 2 times so far for me. It is so nerve racking waiting for them to dig and lay their eggs. I get so nervous hoping everything goes right. So far my veiled has been great!! (too bad her eggs arent fertile!) GOOD LUCK!
