Keep finding him on the roof!

I've got a 4 1/2 month old panther and I've just taken his nursery cradle out and put up vines and foliage!! Since I've done this he has a fascination of climbing up vines to the ceiling and walking around up side down! I've moved the basking lamp up slightly so it's not resting on the mesh so not to burn his feet, the basking temp is 30 degrees. Is this ok for him to do this?

In my experience they do this more as youngsters and then calm down as they get a little older. Just horsing around and exploring

Hi, I have a panther Cham, nd he is always on the roof, nd has always done this since I 1st got him!! He is now roughly 9 months old

Yeah my Jacksons does that as well. In fact she stayed on the roof of her enclosure for almost 4 days after I introduced her to it XD.

I think it might be a weight and size thing more than age as far as how long they climb the top. I've never seen one do it once they're fully grown.

Here he is!

Great pic! Your Cham will eventually spend less time on the ceiling as it grows, but mine still do it even as young adults from time to time. My nosy bè runs laps in his enclosure all day from top to bottom across the ceiling upside down and back all over again, he's not big enough for a cage size upgrade yet. My adult male veiled will hang on the ceiling when the mistking kicks on to take a shower

Hi! I also have a 4mth old Panther, I just love him! I'm having some trouble adjusting him to the 16x16x20 enclosure, he seems to get around fine but it just seems too big. What do you mean by nursery cradle? Mine likes to climb on the ceiling as well haha.
