My juvenile veiled cham ive had for a week or so in a glass terrarium has been eating small crickets good but ive offered him greens and stuff in his cage and he ignores it.
Recently i added some lucky bamboo shoots to his cage for extra climbing space and hiding foliage, and he seems really attracted to the spindly roots at the bottom of the bamboo stalk, the ones that grow at the bottom of the vase in the pebbles when u buy the lucky bamboo.
I also have a hibiscus flower in there which he ignores and some other "loose foliage" potted plant which he doesnt seem to want to eat.
Is this normal or ok for him? usually when i see him trying to eat anything in his glass cage i usually take him out and put him in the feeder tank i have with the crickets to eat.
Ive read some sites that say its not good to feed chams in a seperate tank but i have one of the glass ones that has front opening doors and i dont want crickets running around in there getting lose in my bedroom. Is it ok that i place him in a 10gallon with branches to eat crickets twice a day for 10 minutes?
