I feel like this thing takes forever to go through the bottle, but im just curious how long does everyone usually leave it on for? i dont have a humidity gage cuse i usually just spray it down few times a day and hes been perfectly fine. any other reccomendations with this thing?

I bought one of those last year for my leopard tortoise. It stopped working after a month, I returned it and bought a humidifier instead. I am finding out that most of the reptile stuff sold by zoo med and exo terra is junk if it has working parts. I Unfortunately just figured this out after buying the monsoon mister and then realizing thanks to this forum and doing the review work too late, that most or none of their stuff last long. Sorry, that's all I can say about it, nothing good.:(

Ive actually read alot of good things on it and i watched a few videos. you sound unlucky lol i do my research on this shit and your the first bad review ive read, alot of people recommended it. ill try it out and see how it goes

I would also like to know this as well. It has been useful in keeping the humidity up but as soon as I turn it off it drops drastically.

My reptifogger also crapped out after about a month. Took it back swapped it out with a new one. Less than a week later it also crapped out. Spend the money and get yourself a mist king setup and save yourself a lot of of time and aggravation in the long run.

i recommend the zoo med monsoon rs400 i had it for a year and a half and it has been great!

I have one of the monsoons. Very bad reviews. Another bad purchase I can't return:mad: The first one I bought didn't work. The second one works, but I don't have my Cham yet, so who knows how long it will last. For the same price you can get the mist king. Wish I had done my home work before I bought the monsoon.

On high my fogger will go for six hours. Use distilled water only this is very important. Most people were most likely using tap water and that is what messed up there stuff. This is the down fall for most people. I have two foggers they work fine.

I bought one a year and a had ago went out in three months didn't follow the directions. I used tap water. I got a new one over a year ago I use only bottled water works fine. I keep it on as long as the lights are on. I keep it set low so the humidity stays around 60%. I like mine. Think it would be cheaper to just get a humidifier though since a reptifogger is sixty dollars

My parents got me a gift card to petsmart for xmas so it was kinda free lol but im just leavin it around high for 30 min to an hour ill see how it works! and thanks for the advice on distilled water, ive been doin that anyways because an old friend of mine said his cham died from tap water and i dont even drink tap water so im not gonna give it to him

I leave mine on all day but it depends on where you live and what kinda of chameleon you have. I live in a very dry part of the United States and i have a repti fogger for my Jackson chameleon and it works great and it also spreads throughout my hole room if my door is close and it is on high, it also gives my baby veiled some humidity :D :) :D

Honestly your best bet is to just sprey it down like you've been i bought the reptifogger for $60.00 and it was honestly not my best purchase..so i returned it and bought a water bottle mister. its a lot better ..honestly the fogger just mists up ur cage

I had one and made it goo on a timer (every 3 hours for 20 mins) Lasted me 2 weeks before it started acting up

I am going to go out on a limb and say tap water didn't kill the chameleon, the caretaker probably did. I have used tap water on all my chams, I know tons others who have, all the chameleons are fine. It doesn't hurt to use distilled/filtered ext. But I just don't think it would kill your chameleon unless you are in a third world country or using recycled water at a golf course.
