Any ideas, pointers, questions, or comments feel free to give em up! I have a Reptisun 5.0 UVB bulb, clamp lamp with 60 watt house bulb, little dripper, pothos plant in organic soil with river rocks along the bottom of the pot, eco reptile carpet along the bottom, a small Exo Terra waterproof vine, and I just ordered a water tray for under my cage from LLLreptile.com...I have all of the vines zip tied to the screen of the cage...I hope that's ok? I couldn't come up with any other ideas. I've never owned a chameleon before but I have been doing an extensive amount of research and my panther chameleon will be arriving tuesday morning! Please don't be afraid to speak your mind about anything!

CONGRATS, where are you gettin your cham from. You setup looks great. Are you just goin to hand mist? I handmisted for about 5 months and just got a misting system. If saves a lot of time and I don't have to worry about it! Almost forgot to ask if yo have your supplements all ready too?

Thanks, I ordered him from epicchameleons.com...yes I'm going to hand mist for now. I'm handicap and always home so it's currently not an issue. However I'm going to Hawaii for a couple weeks in December so I'll for sure be ordering a MistKing setup beforehand and having my brother take care of him otherwise. I have sticky tongue miner-all w/D3 and Herptivite w/out D3.

Awesome. I went on vaca this summer and had my mom watch both my chams. Lets just say the poor things were REALLY thirsty when I got home. I don't thing she was misting them enough. So to save the worrying I splurged for a mister and I LOVE it.... As for your supplements you should have a calcium w/o d3 for every feeding and you have the other two. The Miner-all w/d3 and the herptivite should be given every two weeks. I usually alternate the two every saturday. Its easier to keep track that way!:)
Well I hope to see lots of threads in the near future about your new little guy/gal.!!

No herptivite is a Multivitamin. It doesnt have anything to do with Calcium. You are still goin to need Calcium w/o D3 for the everyday feedings

if its just calcium a zero phosphorus calcium of any brand should do, most use rep-cal but many cant find it local so you might have to order it.

no, it might be kinda hard to find at a petstore. Most of them only carry the calcium w/d3. I do know that Tiki tiki reptiles carries it. There is a brand called Repashy and they have an all in one, Its called Calcium Plus (http://www.joshsfrogs.com/food-nutr...hy-supplements/repashy-calcium-plus-4-oz.html). If you use this, you would only need this one supplement because it has all the vitamins and d/3 in it. I personally am goin to get some of this stuff when my other supplements either expire or are used up. Josh's Tree Frogs also carries a Repashy Insect superload that I want to try aswell. I'm assuming that you have read up on gutloading your insects before feeding them to your cham. I find it easier to use premade gutload(http://www.joshsfrogs.com/repashy-superload-insect-gutload-5-3-oz-jar.html)and from what I have read up on this stuff enhances your chameleons color. I also like ordering from Josh's cause the shipping is FAST and reasonable.
