Just brought home a veiled... What should I expect first week?

Pretty much title says all.

I put him in enclosure and put some dubias and crickets in a plastic cup about 4"deep and pretty much left him alone.

Give him/her a chance to acclimate to their new home before you try much handling. You can expect him/her to grow very fast you'll be quite amazed at how much they grow in the first 6 months. I've read daily for four months before buying. Probably well over 100 hours off research.
Should I expect a fast?
How to feed initially?
When to try hand feeding?

I'm still trying to figure out a way to make a feeding cup that is natural looking and can be either hung from top or placed in enclosure that...
Well not let dubia or crickets escape
Present food for capture

My initial thought is a slick material with a bottom of appropriate height then the top/back part is higher where they can crawl up on..... This would ideally be placed inside a sculpted cork tube..... Or make the entire thing from ceramic to emulate a branch

Well
I bought the little guy Sunday at 11:00am
I've yet to see him eat anything
The Dubia cup seems untouched

He looks fine and finished a shed
His urate was slightly tinged
He seems mostly content perching on an outcrop twig and runs for the vines during misting

Time to fret?

Well he's eating readily now... Mix of crickets and dubia. Ilk be stopping crickets and using silkworms when they've grown enough. The crickets are a pain to keep.
His urates are a vibrant white now.

My question is when and how should I go about trying to handle him?

Well, it's been 8 days and all my worries about eating are gone.
I open up the door to fill his feeder with crickets(boy they stink, can't wait till they are gone) and dubias and he starts quickly moving toward the area for dinner while my hand is in tank. Though he still waits for me to remove it. So I don't think it's quite time to try to handle him.
