hi ppl im just posting a short mesage 2 say hi really. iv just bought my 1st yemen chameleon really cool so far, its 3months old and a male (so im told). il try and get sum pics of him up shortly.

Welcome to the forum and to chameleon keeping.
Is that a wooden enclosure? Nothing wrong with that, so long as its properly ventilated etc - Im just curious.

You may like to try growing a pothos plant in your chameleons cage. It will look great - a lot like your plastic one only better, and would feel better for your chameleon too I think. Pothos are extremely easy to grow.

If you would like advise on your set-up and care, check out the "how to ask for help" sticky in the Health Clinic part of this site, fill it out and ask for input. There are some very knowledgable folks here who are happy to provide advise and suggestions. The raising kitty site mentioned by beeze above is also good.

It may very well be perfect. But a word of caution -> most pet shops give very poor advice regarding chameleons. I would suggest regarding 99% of what they told you with great suspicion until you verify it here

It looks quite young to me. Hard to know for sure, since they can grow at different rates. A good breeder would be able to tell you the hatch date.

i would suggest feeding him about 8-10 pinhead crickets at that age. He looks to be about 2-4 months due to his size. Call the shop and ask if they know the age of them they may know

on the crickets, just keep giving him as many as he can eat

cheers pal they said about 3 months old, so there about right then. how fast should he grow.
