Had my boy Joy outside enjoying somew morning sun. He was a FOB (fresh off the boat) WC I've had for about a year now. He is not a big fan of the camera lol He was feeling a little flirty so I tried to snap a few while he was being a good sport!

Flirty boy!

Thank you for looking

He's georgeous and such a big boy as well! Are WC ones more harder to look after than ones bred in captivity?

Thank you!

I think wc are alot more work. They are new to caged life and usually are dehydrated and stressed. You have to combat all of these with ample cage space (when caged he is in 8ftx4.5ftx4.5ft home built cage) tons of water and privacy for them to adjust. Then after they adjust and are hydrated you have the next battle which is parasites.

The care after the acclimation is not much different then a cb.

Are WC more costly yes, more work yep, worth it of course!

Jessica, Joy is a gorgeous Melleri. How many Mellers do you have now?

Thank you Jann :)

I had 5, my 3 and 2 rescues. I rehomed the 2 rescues after they were heald and healthy to a vet tech who just loves them.

Hopefully I will add a couple more after my what use to be formal dinning room soon to be giant free range is complete lol.
