I have a few videos on my phone of Jojo that I have been taking these past few weeks, and I just wanted to go ahead and share them with you all so you can see more of her progress. I am trying to upload them in order of when I took them, so the older ones will be from when I first got her, and the newest ones should be the most recent. I'm putting the link to the oldest video I just uploaded. Let me know what you all think :)

she looks better! her coloring is nicer and she looks to be gripping with her back legs. I am just curious though, why are you putting her in the water like that?

The vet told me warm water would help with the pain and help hydrate her a little. Her skin was very dry and flakey when I got her.

Whats going on with her throat area? it looks all puffy and swollen?

BUt she seems to be doing alot better!

I have no idea. I keep forgetting to ask the vet about it, but he hasn't made any comments. It isn't puffy all of the time, but if anyone knows that would be awesome.

btw, I forgot to mention what an awesome job you are doing. I admire your dedication and kindness.

there is a thing called Gular edema and it sure looks like that is what she has. It is fluid retention. Now what is causing it, I guess that is what we need to find out. You can research some threads on it. It has been discussed before on here. edit: it says excessive Vit A supplementation can cause it. here is a link for you to read about gular edema and it also addresses gout too.http://chamworld.blogspot.com/2008/01/health-section-f-gout_28.html

did you read the article?. It says that it might not just be an overdose of vitamin a(Hypervitaminosis A). There are other factors. I have seen chameleons on here get it and it will sometimes correct itself. It is some type of imbalance going on. I am suprised your vet did not comment on her neck if it was like that when you went.

Sorry, I posted that before you added the link. I'm reading it now. See it doesn't really get that bad often, so I'm guessing it wasn't that puffy when I brought her into the vet.

hopefully it will dissapate on its own! She does not deserve any more problems and neither do you!
