JJ just noticed his girlfriend next door.

We took JJ out today. We didn't expect him to get so fired up over his neighbor (he doesn't normally get to see her, and has never shown a response before).

He's showing some nice colors. How old is he now?

He hatched in February (not sure exactly what day), so about 8 months now. He never had so much color and stripes on his face until yesterday, and after we took him out and put him back, the color stayed! It's still there today! He looks like he had a growth spurt.

Thanks, he actually did that yesterday! It was so funny, he didn't react for a few minutes and then after a little while he just zeroed in on her and bobbed and did everything he could to impress her. She's still just a baby, and nowhere near old enough, but she hissed at him a little and then got over it and turned pale. They're just so cool to observe.
