jelouse of new beardy

Hi

i got a baby bearded dragon 2 days ago, he is in the same room as my chameleon, although they cannot see each other. Since i brought Buddy (beardy) home though Jambo (chameleon) has not been the same, hes darker colourd than usual, and doesnt seem to be able to settle. And seems to be wanted to be taken out alot more, it used to be a fight to get him out. Hes still eating and drinking fine though.

Any tips? maby he can sense the new arrival, is there anything i can do to make Jambo normal again.

they shouldnt be able to see each other. he may be stressed out from it. the wanting to be taken out could be from fear or something improper in your cage care.

can you put buddy in a different room even for a few hrs and see how his coloring goes. make for sure thats wha it is.

Do you meen take his whole set up out the room?

They cant see each other, buddy is on the floor next to jambos viv which is on a tall cabinate. Maby just each others lights because i have noticed buddy trying to look up but he is just a nosy baby.

I have had Buddy out the room most of today, but jambo is still not right. i have been in the room with him while my brother looked after buddy.

theres nothing new in his viv, and no food uneaten?!?!?!

Maybe I'll get shot down for this but would a chameleon seeing a bearded dragon really be stressful? Maybe I've just been lucky with mine but my female cham is free ranaged in my living room and the beardies viv is next to her tree, he gets an hour run around my house every day and they don't seem to be bothered by each other.. what are your temps like?

nothing has changed in his viv, lights or temp wise, amd his "routine" hasnt altered at all, the only thing different is buddy is now here. The viv has been there for a while and hes not bin bothered. ( he cant see inside it) maby just a corner of the top of buddys wooden viv!

im changing my bedroom around again tomorrow to accomadate jambo better Thanks for your help though guys
