Jasper's eyelid looks odd to me

It does look wrong - puffy on that one side. Sometimes, there is just a bit of debris in the eye that needs to be flushed out or it can be an early sign of an infection.

I would start by giving him long (20 mins) warm mistings a few days in a row to give him plenty of time to try to clean the turret out. This will often take care of the issue. Next, you can get some natural (no additives) saline eye drops - the kind that come in the single use caplets, and use those to help keep his eye moist and try to help him clean it out.

If none of this clears it up or it gets worse, a vet visit is in order.

Welcome to the forums. No that it not normal. My vets calls that a plug. I recommend you find a vet with chameleon experience. Where do you live? I might be able to recommend a vet.

Looks like he may have a little shed or dirt or bacteria gunk in it. I would 1st try extra mistings and warm showers for a few days to get him to clean them himself. If that dose not work or if it seems to be getting worse you could try squirting Saline solution (I used this https://jet.com/product/detail/84e9...rUO-5Gux6WmotuaGxH5RPPJY6lQ-FX7CZxRoCp0Hw_wcB ) in it with a squirt bottle the turret will fill up like a balloon if you hit it right this forces him to close and clean the eye and hopefully what ever is in there will come out if not repeat til it does. Once you get what ever out the turret will look deflated for a day or so but will go back to normal. I also applied one drop of Zoo Med Turtle drops ( http://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-Repti...8&qid=1456806667&sr=8-2&keywords=turtle+drops )in each eye afterwards. Regular showers once a week or heavy mistings a few times a week cause your cham to clean out the eyes themselves and get out anything that doesn't belong wich is the best. I also use the turtle drops once a month one drop in each eye to help keep them clean and gives vit A. hope this helps.

I live in Kelowna B.C. I'm giving him some long mists and eye drops and he seemed to enjoy the drops so I think that they may help. But we will see how things change over the next few days.

What eye drops if he loves them I'd like to get them? My Doughnut hates the Turtle drops then again she hates shower and mistings and me in general.
Did you get him to clean his eyes himself? When they do it it looks odd they close their eyes and kinda suck the eye into the skull and move it around and wash it using extra water from their body thats why they need to be well hydrated too.

I just used water for today. His turret filled up, and he kept his eyelid closed and rotated his eye a bunch. Then it emptied out the water and looked a little better actually.

How are you doing the eye drops? Are you using a squeeze bottle? Have you seen anything come out of the eye?

Hey again, yeah I've been using a regular squeeze bottle. I just put a couple drops in when he's on my hand and he works it around in his eye on his own. I haven't seen anything come out, so I think it may have been a bit of shed skin that got caught in his eye and the drops and water have helped deal with that.
