My approx one year old male Jackson's has been sleeping during the day at times and spending more time than I like at or near the bottom of his enclosure. He will only eat blue bottle flies also! I have not seen him eat a cricket or worm in several weeks. He is drinking fine, urine looks good. Had a hard time giving him any supplements because of the lack of real food. Temps are in the low 80's on top. I run a humidifier on a timer to keep he humidity around 60 to 70 %. Last poop I saw today looked different, not the same little round ball but more long? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also he in in a 18x36 screen cage with real plants and a 5.0 UVB and a 40watt basking light. Thanks again.

Sorry to hear that your little man is not feeling well. Has he had a fecal lately? It sounds like it might be time for a vet check up and a fecal.

Mine is doing the same....as I have been doing research lately, a lot of Jacksons seem to. I'm extremely curious about this. I am currently looking for a vet myself.

But other than his odd behavior and not eating, he seems great.

My guy looks ok also. Nice shape, good color. Just not eating and hanging around in the bottom too much.

Mine is 10 months and has been doing the same for 3 days now. All he wants to do is hide and go downwards. Again, he is eating minimally (but is still eating) and drinking and his eyes are not sunken, his colour is his usual happy green. Nothing has changes at all to spark this odd behaviour.

Having spoken with a few people, it would seem that in Monty's case at least, it is most likely due to hormones and the weather systems currently active in the UK. He is not closing his eyes or showing any other signs of possible illness, other than this odd behaviour!
