Jacksons skin infection

Hi;

I have a 15 month old male Jackson's chameleon and his health has been perfect until now.

He has developed a small patch of raised lumpy skin on his body opposite his right back leg which bothers him - it sort of looks like the little lumps that are naturally there have swollen.
I haven't seen his scratch at it or anything, but if I touch the raised area he flinches like it's painful.

He doesn't have any other symptoms - not sleeping during the day/still eating & drinking & nothing has changed with his husbandry.

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

Hello ONMB, welcome to the Chameleon Forums :)

Do you have any photos of the affected area? As ChameleonsTree mentioned above, a trip to the vet is most likely needed.

Hi;

Ok, so off we trotted to the vet (he was great !)
Basically he has dermatitis because his enclosure is probably a little too moist for him.
He got medication for worms (just incase) and an antibiotic for 3 weeks.
So hopefully my boy will be just fine! :)
