I'm thinking of getting a "Juvi" (pretty small for a Juvi but that's what the Reptile store is calling it and would like to know if anyone has a "General" guideline as to how fast they grow?? I have a 12"x12"X18" enclosure and the Jackson's is about 3" long from nose to well, you know. I'd like an idea of how much time I have to acquire or build a more fitting home for him.
They grow a lot slower than Veileds and Panthers. Here's a link to my first Jackson's growth rate blog. He died at around 2.5 years although I have never got around to updating the blog with all his weights after those that are published.
Also, here's a link to Monty's First Year post. I took photos of him around the same date each month to chart his growth and progress. I loved my boy to bits, he was awesome! I got him from my best friend at just 7 weeks old weighing just 2g!! https://www.chameleonforums.com/monty-jackson-first-year-photos-93405/
I started mine off in a cage the size you have, then moved him up to a 45 x 45 x 60cms one and then into an 18" x 18" x 36" screen cage. I can let you know approximate ages later on as i need to look back through my photo albums for dates, etc.
Thanks for responding, I replied to my own post before I saw this. Wow! Just looked at your photos and he's awesome. Thanks so much, that gives me a good idea of how much time I'll have.
