Hi everyone! I have been researching this for about 3 days now, and couldn't find anything so I figured my best bet would be to ask you guys before I take my little guy into the vet. I've had Rex for about six months now, and have never had any problems. About four days ago I noticed that he has something like a red rash on one of his back feet, and a small red dot on his face. He seems to be active, is eating and drinking well, and everytime I check on him he is alert and awake. He is in a low-traffic area of my house, so I don't think that stress is causing it. I DID find some little white bugs in the bottom of his cage, but I cleaned them out immediately. I am just not quite sure what they are, I keep his cage very clean. If anyone could offer me any pointers, or a step in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated!

The "rash" on his foot could be an infection he's picked up through an abrasion in the skin. Check all his foot pads, clean any dirt off them and rub in some Polysporin. You do need to watch this as it can recurr over and over. If you haven't cleaned his branches do it. Bacteria does build up on them especially if they don't have a chance to dry out regularly and your cham rubs his vent on them after defecating. A solution of 1:10 bleach to hot water will work. Rinse and dry the branches well.

Not sure what the other red spot could be other than a cut. Some Polysporin should help that too.

PS: Is the red dot on his face on the lip or at the corner of his mouth? If so, you need to inspect his gumline and check for infection. If you find it you'll need a vet to treat this. Topical antibiotics probably won't be enough.

Those I think are mites. I'm not sure what they will cause directly but I'm pretty sure they can't be good.
