Jackson will eat mealworms but wont eat crickets?

dont feed him for a few if he can afford not to eat. I bet it'll eat a cricket when its hungry and the only thing in the cage.

Not the best case scenario, but that is what I've done before. If it is extremely underweight or dehydrated, don't try it. Also, if it hand feeds, try the 'ole 'Texas switcharoo'- Feed him one or two mealworms, and then basicly offer up a cricket and sometimes they will snap up whatever you have with the anticipation that it is a mealworm. Has worked for me a few times. Also try catching some green wild caught insects, but cup them up for at least 2 days to make sure that they haven't been exposed to pesticide.

or you can continue offering crickets so he knows that is all he will get. if he wants to not eat and starve himself, let him do it himself, but dont aid to it. this also isn't a good idea if it is 1) a newly accuired and mostlikely WC cham, 2) a cham that is suppost to eat everyday such as babies to sub adults..

just keep offering him crickets and no mealworms or superworms. chams love supers and meals, so it may be an adjustment that takes a little time and patients.

also, do you free range the feeders or cup feed?
