this is my female jackson that has lived wild in asian pear tree for the past 6 weeks . I'm going to let her stay for the summer hopefully .At the base of the trunk is a box i made so she can't escape and landscaping ties form a corral so if she fell she cant escape. We dont have stray cats around here so she should be safe.If it gets to hot i will have to bring her in but she is so healthy looking ever since i put her out there.

Is her mouth open because she's hot or because she's mad? How warm is it on most days? I would a Jackson would do better outside in the summer only if you lived in the mountains or nearby.

Carefull... Though there is a box at the bottom... Jacksons are know to try to "fly"... I have seen videos of Jax literally leaping from branches to the ground.

Actually here is the actual vid. Not mine, just one I found on YouTube.

Jumping Jacksons.

Can you post pics of the your "escape proof" set up? I need some ideas myself.
