jackson lating eggs?

ok ive heard so many different things about females laying eggs some have to mate and sum are receptive i have a female jackson and some ppl said she looks pregnant but then she gets skinny im worried about her being gravid i havent bred her but apparently she has had babies before i bought her so i am very confused

Jacksons do not "lay eggs" they give live birth or are "viviparous".

It is possible she retained sperm and has another clutch growing... How long ago was she mated?

as was stated, jacksons dont lay eggs, they have live birth.
if she was bred before, and she had her last batch of babies relatively recently, she could have retained sperm and is working on a new baby batch.
