monarchs should be avoided. its not likely your cham would eat them more than once anyway. bright colors are often a form of aposematism (warning coloration), bright contrasting colors often signal foul taste or even toxicity, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aposematism both larvae and adults are aposematic. any potential feeders with bright contrasting colors should be held in suspicion, and investigated before use. jmo

I do know they are poisonous to even humans just curious if you could change the toxic if the diet was changed. I'm currently growing silkworms to feed but the only place I can find the leaves is at the store I purchased them. 8 leaves for $5 would send me to the pour house lol

keep in mind that the milkweed bugs were NOT cultured on milkweed

my jackson ate on but it wasnt the orange one it was yellow and black he seems to be ok
