Jackson Chameleon Problem

My 1 1/2 yr old female Jackson pooped and now has a large round bulb under her tail and it looks like it is filled with blood. Is there anything I can do short of taking her to the vet?

Sounds like it could be a prolapse. A picture would help.

That is a prolapse.

can you post a photo of your entire chameleon?

DO you have any ky jelly? if not can you get some?

you can put some on your finger, and gently but firmly, try to work it back inside the vent.

Thank you everyone for your help. We tried soaking but no luck on shrinkage or being able to reinsert. We'll be off to the vet first thing in the morning.

you may be able to get it back in.

and can we see a full body pic please?

If you cant get it back in, then make sure you keep it moist. all night.

if it dries out, the doc wil have to surgicallyremove it.
