I have done tons of research on her being pregnant so I know how to care for her and the babies. I just want a second opinion on if she is pregnant, she has been gaining a good bit of weight lately.

A month+ ago I put her with my male Jackson for a full week (7 days) and she was very skinny at the time.

did you see them breed? - it takes longer than a month for them to give birth - 5 to 10 mos depending on the cham - mine go about 5/6 mos - but she looks pretty fat - are you sure she was not already gravid when you put her in ?

I don't think so...

I don't think she was gravid before I mated her, before I mated her she was very skinny. She was eating around 2-3 crickets a day but she had no meat on her, when she was basking you could see what looked like her ribs.
I mated her about a month ago and ever since she has been slowly gaining weight.
She stopped eating for about a week all together once I took her out of the males enclosure. She ate when she was in it, so I was a little worried, but she is eating anywhere from 1-5 a day now (1-2 being a day she ate 4+ the day before). I did not see them mate, I kept my distance as much as I could because I have heard that if they are mating and someone is around they would stop.
This is my first time having and breeding chams, but I have done a vast amount of research, so I know a good bit about caring for them, and what I need to know about her being gravid.

The main thing about Jacksons I can't find anywhere online is how to tell if they are gravid, I have seen a good bit of people saying its very hard to tell until she gains so much weight you could actually tell she is.

Is she wild caught?
It could be possible that she had already had a clutch and now she's getting ready for another.
That could be the possibility why she was so skinny.

No she is CB

No she is Captive breed, she was born in the wild along with her parents.
I am not sure if she was kept with other males before I got her because I ordered her from a reptile whole sale store. I asked a lot of questions before I got her and they said she was anywhere from 8-10 months old, so that could be possible. Jacksons are live bearing reptiles, so I think she would have had them all at once, not in clutches. This is my first time with Jacksons so I am not sure.

I have a ton more pictures of her, but it keeps saying "upload failed" when I try to add them....

Thanks for everyone helping though...

:)

Thanks, I know it will take a while, but I am exited. Its my first time breeding them and I can't wait. :D
Thanks for all the help.

:)

Ok so I put her in the males enclosure, just as a test, and she turned a coal black. The male acted is if he was scared to go near her, he stayed very still as did she. I took her out after a few minutes and as soon as I took her out of the cage she turned back to a green color. I have also looked at other pictures and videos of pregnant Jacksons and she is around the same size as some of them I have seen. I think she is pregnant, and I already have a enclosure read just in case.

i am also trying to breed jacksons, if mine is pregnant shes going close to 10 months now since her last encounter with that male, she may have even retained sperm, hence this what seems like a long gestation period. or she might just be a very plump and healthy girl.
