I got this chameleon from Texas Panther Man at the repticon show last month in Pasadena. He is awesome... Real healthy.

Hey man, welcome to the forum.. You started with one of the coolest locales possible..Falys are beautiful.. and you also got it from Scott who has incredible Falys. You are off to a great start!

Let us know if you have any questions. I'm sure Scott already gave you plenty of info though.

Hey walter. He looks really good. Im glad you & jose got a cpl of sherlocks offspring.
I can't wait to see how all the males color up. Keep me updated on his progress

I want a Faly so bad! IMO, they're the most beautiful chams! Make sure to take lots of pictures as he's growing up! :)

Thanks for the welcome. I will sure keep posting as he grows. What is the best way to get him to be more friendly???

Welcome! :) and huge congrats on your Faly, he is beautiful! :) For me, how I have gotten mine to be a little more "tolerant" of people I am sure to (may sound silly) sit in front of their cages and talk, sweet & low to them - so they get used to my voice - and then I've started hand feeding them... now when they see me coming, the walk on down to one of the lowest branches up front & wait for their little snack! :D

Just a tip man. They dont hear voices. They can detect low frequencies like bass notes. But they cant hear your voice.

Hand feeding is a good taming technique. Just give him time man. It took me over 6 months to get his daddy tamed down enough to accept me.

Interesting - I never knew that.... well, I will still talk to them.. :) Maybe I do it more for me than them....

To try and get him more tolerant of you, try this:

Hand feeding
Cup feeding
Free ranging
Slow movements
Most importantly, interaction.

Its not guaranteed that he'll ever open up to you. Its always great to try, though! :)

That's funny...! I also have a 1yr old green iguana that I talk to. He actually hears me thou...! Thanks I'll be patient.
