It's vet day and he won't poop!

Guys, my panther won't poop for me! I tried to get him to poop yesterday, but I think he had already pooped when I tried. I looked for the poop but I just couldn't find it! It's probably stuck between two leaves somewhere. :( I've been trying for the last half an hour... I'm still misting him with lots and lots of warm water right now and I've already tried holding him since he seems to like to poop in my hand but not this time. I'm leaving in an hour and a half.

It's ok, maybe he'll poop at the vet's office. Otherwise, tell the vet you will bring it in later.

Par for the course (at least with me anyway), they will always poop at the vet's office so you'll have a nice fresh sample. :)

I might have to bring one in later if he doesn't poop in the vets. I'm stil going to try and get him to poop though because the vet is kind of far away. He didn't poop after a 20 minute misting. Do you think I should try and give him a soak? Or should I just give up?

Na, just let him be. You are already going to be putting him through stress just going to the vet's (not your fault, of course). If he doesn't poop there, maybe he'll do it on the way there. It never fails with my chams.

So neither of them would poop at the vets or on the way. She said she was really happy with Pan. She said that she didn't like that my panthers mouth wasn't bright pink... (it's yellow) She also bruised his little throat when she took him to the back room :( she wants me to bring in poop when I can though.

Panther's mouths are suppose to be yellow/orangish. Did you just take them for a check up?

It was a check up for Pan and to get the vets opinion on what to do for the Panther. She wants to do fecals on both and if nothing shows up she wants to test for a fungal infection on the Panther. I told her the color was normal, but she just said it wasn't the really nice bright pink she wanted to see like in Pan's mouth.

What's wrong with your panther?

How old is the panther? There are times when you get a "runt" and it just takes them longer to grow than normal. I, as well as a few other forum members, have had one of these. Nothing wrong with them, they just take a little longer to develop than the rest. (just throwing that out there without knowing all the facts first....;))

Many, many, people have spazzed out about it... Trust me. I've made a few threads.

It's okay Kara, like Julie said he may just be a runt. If he is eating, drinking, acting normal, don't worry. I started a thread about "Rocko looks ashy" back in December and he is still that way. Though I have seen some green coming back. I'm thankful he is healthy and if he isn't booming with color, oh well.

He's supposedly almost 9 months, but people are suggesting that he is younger than that. I think he's starting to grow faster now though. Time will tell I guess. I'm thinking he might have been younger than what I bought him as, and he's a runt, and I messed up his feeding schedule/amount up a bit. I didn't feed him enough for a month because I though he was a small girl (that's what I bought him as.) even though he's gone through way over 300 feeders in 3 weeks, he gained only two grams. After another 4 days he gained another gram. I'll see if he gains another gram in few days.

I wouldn't be too worried. Like Draetish said, if you know that your cham is actig normal and doing all the normal things, and everything else is as is should be, I wouldn't stress about it.
