Isopod population explosion!

i have a very successful colony of isopods in my exo terra bio active set up for my uroplatus sikorae, the problem is the population has exploded, I believe that there may be too many in there, they've already eaten my leaf litter layer that was a good 1 1/2" thick! Anyone know how to "control" their numbers? My sikorae don't seem to be interested in eating them, my sikorae are wild caught so feeding them off to my chame is a no no.

Maybe just make sure you have a backup colony somewhere in case the population crashes but I would control the amount of leaf litter supplied to limit the growth of the population.
