I'm guessing its wild caught? If it is then I would say NO! Never feed anything to you pets that is wild caught you have no idea what kind of parasites they have. If you bought him from some where I would still be kinda of shaky on it because that shell look pretty tough and you wouldn't want your cham to choke on it.

Im glad you asked us before feeding it to him/her. You don't want to feed any wild caught insects. They can carry parasites and can transfer them to our chammies. Now we don't want that do we?

Looks like a Japanese Beetle, an invasive species that is really pissing me off . They are one of the most common sources of grubs that kill lawns and some crops and last summer the adult form tried to destroy my cherry and birch trees. They are also a reason pesticides like Grub-X have seen sales explode resulting in overuse. I'm going to be taking milky spore into battle this summer. Supposedly works well without the environmental concerns but takes up to 5 years for full effectiveness.
I've used traps and caught thousands over the course of a couple weeks understanding that traps may not be a good idea but the satisfaction is worth it. I was hoping that these could be a cham staple, but as mentioned they have a hard exterior shell that might be a problem.
