Climbing the top is normal. Many Chameleons (especially young ones) are very adventurous. The sleeping part.. I'm not so sure about. Chams usually don't sleep during the day. There could be a number of reasons for that. Are you sure he was sleeping? Or was he just relaxing on top of his cage?

I'm pretty sure the hanging part is normal, I've heard of others doing this and that they just do it at a younger age. How old is he? And as for the sleeping part, that's not normal during the day we're both or only one eye closed?

My Cham fell asleep upside down the other day.

He's just asleep lol If he's a baby then youll see him sleepin in weird possitions n some funny ones lol he's just bein adventurous lol make sure if u have a bottle or whatever u catch ur water in from the dripper isn't left in the cage overnight and nothing is kept in the bottom of his cage that can hold water like towels or kitchen roll make sure it's removed, this ur first Cham? I've had mine couple of months now :) u got any pics? And were in uk too :) were a outs r ya?

Yeah he does that..lol, just don't startle him else you with find him doing a suicide drop..lol, it's just because he is in new surroundings mate, has he got his pajama colours on too? :D

Bless him! Monty was asleep upside down on his ceiling the other day! I really don't know how they can stay like that and sleep all night, lol! They feel safe the higher they can get.

thinks hes big

while i had a quick check on him late lastnite he was fast asleep, he was a lovely green &yellow colour, he seems to b eatin and even seen him this mornin drinkin from his dripper, misted him earlier and he tried makin himself look bit &hissed at me then lunged at my hand, quite funny really sein a little fellow tryin to scare me off. tryin not to piss him off to much while hes only just settlin in. but cant help just sittin back & watchin this little guy go about his business, hes a real cool dude.

Lol he's just scared you gotta think your a giant to him! Leave him alone as much as possible for a good couple of weeks to let him settle in could even take months depending on you Cham really, ours settled within around 2 weeks! To get him used to you try hand feeding him a couple of times a day, my cham's knows when hes gonna get fed asoon as he sees me or my boyfriend come to his cage he often walks to the front as he knows it's breakfast time lol :) also open his cage and let him see you spray his leaves all this will help him get used to you a lot more :) :)
