Is this normal?

This might be a dumb question but i've noticed my 3.5-4 month old ambilobe's throat swallowing mechanism (the first ceratobranchial bone i think) protrudes a little bit. Its not noticeable all the time tho. I've been looking at other members photos and don't notice it on their chams. Is this normal? Below is a pic.

Its that little round bump on his neck. Im guessing its the top of the bone or something. But sometimes you can see it even if he's not puffing up or swallowing.

i can see it fine. my cham does it. it seems like he is clinching his teeth. my cham does this when he chews.

not sure if these are any better.

i can see it now...at first i thought you were talking about the throat area..hence your comment about "swallowing mechanism".. i was looking in the completely wrong area of the photo.. i don't know for sure, but it looks to be part of his bone structure rather than a foreign bump to me..i went up to the cham room and looked at all of my guys and gals.. none of them really had that pronounced bump you've shown in the picture..I'd just keep an eye on it.

it's beating, right?
Almost like a heart beat?
my youngest baby panther (ambilobe) got one too.
I don't think it is something serious.

Thanks for the replies.
Dodolah- No it doesn't beat. Im pretty sure its part of the bone because when he eats and drinks i can see it move with the rest of the swallowing mechanism. Hopefully its nothing wrong, but i just wanted to double check with you guys.

Mine dont have that either.
Bumps could be from many things from calcium deposits to a slightly unusual bone structure to parasites. maybe just keep on eye on his behaviour and such, If its not bothering him, if all other things seem okay, let it be. Next time you're at the vet for a check-up, have it looked at. Maybe an xray would tell you more

I also noticed his shoulder blades kinda stick out and his back gets fatter around his spine behind his head. Could it be over or under supplementation? He seems super healthy and doesn't act like anythings bothering him. I don't know if I'm just tripping, but i just want to make sure hes ok! heres some info:

Mine has the exact same thing, including the shoulder blade thing. Someone with more expertise could please answer our question?... He looks super healthy as well.
