He was probably happy he has somewhere to climb! Lol. Make sure you have a branch or vine placed about 8 inches down under the basking light for him. Place it horizontally. That should really make him happy!. And no, they don't camouflage!

Oh gosh you're welcome! It is refreshing to see someone given advice and act upon it! It is frustrating when people come here for help and then won't listen to what you tell them!

Please post more photos of him and photos of your whole set up. It does not look like you have any branches or vines for him to climb on. They need those!

Yes that's a rubber tree! Is that a no no?? I forget.

Yup...rubber trees are toxic....as you've already posted since my post.

I'd still like to see recent photos of the vent and the rest of the chameleon.

Here is my little guy this morning. He seems to be FLOURISHING now. I have been keeping the cage door open and he sits on the branch facing me outside and just stares at me while I type and surf the net LOL
