Is this normal for a chameleon?

Iv found theses marks on the skin they look as if the skin is cracked and theirs black lines.

Looks like your guy's getting ready for a shed. I'm not seeing the black lines.

I remember the first full body shed I saw one of mine go through I thought she'd been gouged somehow. She looked like she had gashes in her sides. Then, the next day, poof, she shed.

I think your 'black lines' are merely shadow within the skin texture, nothing of concern.

my female veiled has the same thing. it does not bother her, and it is around the lower side, where the side meets the belly. it is nothing to worry about, just stretching of the keratin. you will probably see it go away or at least be less noticeable after the first shed, but after that it will slowly come back. nothing to worry about.
