I am buying a starter kit from FL chams. I was wondering if this is enough to have to start with a baby veiled chameleon. If not please tell me what else i need down below.
  • Cage 18″ x 18″ x 36″
  • 60 Watt Heat Bulb
  • 5 1/2″ Clamp Lamp
  • 20″ Fluorescent Fixture
  • Reptisun 5.0 18′ Fluorescent Bulb
  • (2) Exo Terra Vine – Small
  • (2) Exo Terra Large Ampallo Plastic Leaves
  • Zoo Med Calcium w/ D3
  • Reptivite
  • Zoo Med Digital Thermometer
  • Reptile Spray Bottle

It's a good kit to get started.

You will absolutely need:

A few other items to consider that will make your life easier, in order of most important to least impo:
You may also want to add at least two more vines or a live plant to fill in the cage an provide more climbing opportunities. Only two vines and plants will make a very bare cage. Any big hardware store should have umbrella plants or a small pothos (they grow fast) for pretty cheap.

Good luck!

Almost forgot would it cost less if I bought everything separately instead of buying a kit?

Maybe - not sure. It seems pretty close to what I would expect to pay. It's a nice cage and almost everything you need to get started. Some kits have a lot of junk you don't need - but this one it solid. If you have Amazon Prime (free shipping), you might price everything to see if you can get it cheaper.

I would do a tray like this instead. This sits under the cage rather than inside it - easy to manage and makes a more steady base. I have use both and definitely prefer the tray that sits under the cage rather than the type that slide in.
Cant thank you enough for so much support through this huge learning process :):):):):):):):):)
