Is this a burn?

Hi so I'm new to this forum, and I've had my chameleon for only two months now, but I've noticed this black/grayish area on his crest and head, and I've been told it could be completely normal or a burn, and I wanted to get some other opinions

I believe my chameleon is burned on her back. I uploaded some pictures. Is the tissue necrotic or infected? I’ve been using some silvadene cream from Walgreens and it looks like it is getting better but I can’t tell.

That is one of the most common place for them to get burnt, it doesn’t look infected to me.

However @LaurenWads30 you need to start your own thread. You will get way more responses from seasoned veterans that way.
